Grasse, place of history and inspiration
Could there be any place more magical than Grasse, with its long history as world perfume capital, to give rise to the range of NANA.M. designer fragrances? Drawing on local expertise, the growing of natural materials and the unique terroir, Céline Ripert, a Perfumer working in Grasse has created a range of 8 niche perfumes, each with a distinctive olfactory signature. These unique fragrances offer an alternative to high-end classic perfumery, where luxury, fantasy, passion, modernity and tradition all rub shoulders. In this setting, so propitious to inspiration, Céline has made her contribution to the already colossal number of perfumes produced in Grasse.
Biot, the Art of Glass
However, the French Riviera is blessed with many resources and this creative expertise so typical to Grasse is not the only jewel in the Riviera’s crown. Just a stone’s throw from Grasse and the Cannes Film Festival, in the magnificent village of Biot, a village reputed for its glassware, an unusual, customised bottle has been specially designed for Céline Ripert’s olfactory creations. Hand-blown by an artisan glass blower, these bottles are all unique works.
A strong identity
When the art of glass blowing and the art of perfumery combine, all is set for magic to take place. The association of these 2 skills has bestowed a strong identity upon the NANA.M. confidential fragrance brand. Designed for perfume aficionados but also for those who love beautiful objects, rare perfumes and unique fragrances, and who are on a quest for fantasy or simply beauty.
The Projet's inception
The project came about smoothly and naturally. I love creating for others because exchanging ideas and experiences goes hand in hand with creativity and opulence. However, my desire to create gradually became irresistible. I longed to faithfully adapt my olfactory touch, my passion for perfume, and the Grasse expertise in my range. My aim was to create a project that was a true reflection of me and which allowed me to present my favourites. Developing my range was a dream that I wanted to turn into reality. I mulled the idea over for 4 years, elaborating each version, and the project became clearer, more honed, enriched and embellished. The guiding principle was always to respect my ideas, to shape my olfactory tastes and make use of my favourite raw materials; those which evoke fantasy and pleasure in my eyes. When we are lucky enough to do a job we are passionate about, we long to share it with others.
